A Safety Wall Around Your Pool Doesn’t Need to Be an Eyesore

“The days of unpleasant plastic fences are over,” said Antonia Caicedo, interior designer and creator of the Antonia Collection at JIMECO based in Miami Shores, Florida. “More and more often, I am seeing fences that become an architectural element of the home or even a sculptural addition to the landscape design.”

“A bold approach that adds contrast is a great alternative if the style of your home allows for something extra or different without it looking cluttered or messy. Larger yards allow for statement fences that will become an important architectural element of the home or a sculptural feature of your landscape that do not necessarily match the color of the walls.

“You can have a play of different heights within the fence so visuals to the pool are dynamic. You can mix different materials such as woods, metals, glass and plants to add some interest and make your fence/boundary a key element of your landscape.”
